Ruse

Bulgarian Romanian-speaking journalist. Founder of the Bulgarian-Romanian cross-border Bridge of Friendship site (https://friendshipbridge.eu/). Currently working for the Romanian section of Radio Bulgaria and having cooperations with a number of Romanian media outlet. Member of the team of Cross-border Talks (https://crossbordertalks.eu) – a Polish site, which provides regional perspectives on international relations and social issues. It also promotes cross-border engagement.

Rousse is a Bulgaria city with marveollous architecture in its center, but losing its young people and being neglected and disconnected from the rest of the country for decades. Its links to Giurgiu and Romania are probably its hidden potential to generate dynamism and grow out of its peripheral condition.

I believe my own praxis of cross-border interaction and mutual empowerment in the Bulgarian-Romanian zone is in line with the one, manifested by the Transborder Laboratory. I am looking for sharing experience and cooperating with people who similarly find sense in semi-utopian attempts for constructing their own imagined communities. I am looking to place my own experience in a wider European context.
