Nicosia, Cyprus

Visual Voices (VV) is a non-profit organization based in Nicosia, Cyprus, and working internationally to strengthen the capacity of young visual artists from communities affected by violent conflict. VV strives to create a global network of peace building organisations and artists that recognise the value of arts-based interventions in peace building activities, and the power of visual arts in peace advocacy.

Visual Voices joined the Transbordering Laboratory because of it commitment to the arts and creation of space. VV found that there is so much in common between individuals, organizations, cities and towns. This is a space to explore the unique situations that arise in a transbordering context and celebrate this in a way that brings people together rather than divide.
