Narva, Estonia

born Russia (Siberia) studied in Moscow & St.Petersburg education in graphic design occupation in photography, contemporary art, museum and gallery installations. after years of travelling, now living in Narva, Estonia doing research on local society collaborating with Narva Art Residence, Narva Museum and other art projects

Narva is a border city of the border country. Border Estonia/Russia has had a complicated history for centuries. One city with Ivangorod during the Soviet Times. Destroyed during the World War II. Now considered as a city where Europe starts (city slogan). Once an important  industrial town, now shrinking population one, with mostly russian-speaking citizens. Recently getting attention from Estonian government to develop “problematic” region and give a city a fresh start.
