Haparanda, Sweden
Hapkult is a culture association based in Haparanda and aims to promote contemporary art and culture across genre boundaries between humanities and science.
Haparanda is a small border town in northern Sweden that today has grown together with the Finnish town of Tornio. Haparanda is a bilingual trading town and the biggest municipality in the Swedish Torne Valley.
HapKult wants to develop the contacts and create joint culture projects with other border towns in Europe. We are also interested in being hosts to Transbordering Laboratory´s annual meeting in 2026, when the nearby Finnish town of Oulu will be Culture Capital of Europe.
